Overview

The CCGS Des Groseilliers is an icebreaker owned and operated by the Canadian Coast Guard. It is designed for Coast Guard missions in the Arctic Ocean but has also been used for oceanographic and atmospheric research. It measures 98 meters in length, has a cruising range of 27,000 nautical miles, an endurance of 100 days, and can reach a maximum speed of 16.5 knots.
